LIBERATION DAY

November 29, 2022 November 30, 2022

Liberation Day is celebrated every year on November 29. It is the day when the country was liberated from the German invaders after the second world war, November 29, 1944. This is the second day of national holidays, days off, after Independence Day. Usually, the night of November 28, dawning on the 29th, is called the white night, where the lights of parties and concerts dispel the darkness of the night. Partisan fires, concerts until dawn, have been part of these celebrations, but this year they are prohibited due to the pandemic. The only part of the celebrations will be the visit to the cemetery of the Martyrs of the Nation, which is done like every year by political representatives, to honor the fallen martyrs during the liberation war.
